Lessons learned at age 40
Today I turned the big 4-0. I am thrilled to be starting this new decade and look at it as a time to reap the benefits of the hard lessons I had to learn in my previous years.
I wanted to share with you a few lessons that came to light as I went through my day today.
- Vegetables are a good thing. They fill you up and taste pretty good with Tastefully Simple Season Salt sprinkled on them.
- If someone gives you a big chocolate chip cookie at a store because it is your birthday, the cookie tastes better if you bring it home and share it with your husband and daughter (better that is then eating the whole thing alone in the car and hiding the evidence)
- If your husband pulls out in front of traffic and tries to explain that he didn’t really pull out in front of traffic it is best to just let it go and enjoy the rest of the evening with him.
- You can ask the waitress to not bring the bread basket and not give it a second thought.
- Food is not the best part of a birthday, family is.
I hope your next birthday is a happy one!

Becky…..keep up the great work. I love this blog of yours because it’s very informative and gives plenty of “food for thought” (no pun intended!) :-)
