Two Sides to Each Coin
I just read a blog by a teenage girl who is desperate to gain weight. Yes, I typed that correctly, she drops weight, as she put it, "like it’s hot" and she was looking for advice on how to put on some weight.
Now you might be thinking to yourself, "I could teach her a few things" but that is not the point I want to make. My point is, there are always two sides of a coin. For each person in this vast world of ours trying to lose weight, there is someone desperate to gain it (or just desperate to eat).
If you are feeling frustrated by the burden of being overweight and having to work to lose weight, reflect for a moment on those who would love to be in your shoes – those who wonder when there next meal will come. And, you might even benefit from reflecting on how it must feel to be a teenage girl desperate to gain weight, who gets unfairly accused of being anorexic and bulimic.
Stop focusing on all that is wrong with your body and life and start to appreciate what you do have, it is one of the best weight management tools you will ever find.
